Thank you for your interest in our classes

It is important to us that every person interested in training with us gets all the information they need to get started.

We have broken down this information into two categories, one for those with no agility experience and one for those who have some agility experience.

If you have never done agility before:

We are very happy you contacted us. We offer beginners agility classes as often as possible. The reason we don’t have a regular schedule for beginners is simple. Agility is an addictive sport! All beginners’ classes evolve into higher level classes. The good news is that once we offer you a class time that fits your schedule you won’t have to worry about availability of the next level class. You will stay with the same class until your personal level no longer fits with that class.

On occasion we may have a wait list for beginner’s classes, we recommend that you request being placed on our list if you have an interest in joining a class. When we start the new class you will be contacted with the start date and offered a space in the class. There is no obligation to join the class.

Please review the SELF-EVALUATION SECTION. This do-it-yourself “test” and will tell you if you need to do some more training before you are ready to join an agility class. IF you are anxious to start and find that your don might not be quite ready, drop us a line. Often handlers can get their obedience skills up to speed while they participate in the beginning agility class.

We offer private lessons for beginners and semi- private classes for beginners can also be arranged, let us know if you are interested

If you and your dog have some experience in Agility:

We have many levels of classes in progress at this time; some of them have space available now.

Simply send us an e-mail or phone call and tell us about your current level. Be specific, especially in regards to the weave poles and teeter. We will then suggest you do a “drop in” on a class that seems appropriate for you and your dog. You can then “try on” that class, if it is agreed that the class is a “fit” you are welcome to join that session in progress. We do not offer regular drop in classes. You are welcome to watch any class before deciding to try it. Many times handlers that didn’t get their start with ACE will see that they are “missing” something that is being worked on or explained. That might be just a terminology issue or the lack of a training skill or two. Private lessons are available to fill in any missing links in your training program and keep you up to speed with your new class!

ALL new students are required to fill out a registration form and sign a release at the time they join a class. The form can be downloaded from this site. No payment is required to be on the wait list. Payment arrangements are made at the time the class is formed.

Check your schedule carefully before joining a class. We offer no refunds after the start date of the session. In addition there are no refunds for dogs that the instructor dismisses from class for aggression or lack of control. For more information on classes go to “Class Rules and Guidelines” and “Getting the Most out of Your Class”
