Agility Foundation Class

This foundation class focuses on the skills needed before the more focused obstacle training begins.  The aim is to perfect the stay and recall work that is required for the Agility I class. You will also learn basic groundwork: how to cue your dog to move and turn with you. Obstacles designed to promote your dogs balance and coordination skills are used in this class. This class is for those who have completed the Intro to Agility Class and want to make the plunge into more focused training, or for those who want to start out right. It is also a great "refresher" for dogs already active in the sport but with some "holes"in their foundation.

Prerequisites: Dogs must have some basic obedience skills in place. Dogs in this class will not be working on the agility equipment.

Meets for one hour weekly for six consecutive weeks. This class can be repeated as often as needed.

Cost: $ 145.00 Limited to 10 students

Practice Sessions

Drop in for practice. Designed for the novice and intermediate student, but open to higher level students as well, to practice “homework” on the equipment. Novice session will have weave poles with wires and the low teeter and A-Frame. Intermediate session will have full height teeter and poles with no wires. Equipment will be shared on a timed rotation.

Prerequisites: All dogs must have completed introduction to the equipment training with an approved instructor. Students must have control of their dogs to participate.

Note: Attendants have the right to request any dog be excused or put on leash.

Cost: $ 10.00 per dog per drop-in session.
