Dianne is an honors graduate of the SF SPCA Academy for Dog Trainers, a member of The Association of Pet Dog Trainers, and an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator. Her extensive dog-training career began in 1999 and includes behavior modification for fearful and aggressive dogs and service and therapy dog training. She is also a shelter evaluations specialist and an expert witness for San Francisco’s Vicious & Dangerous Dog Court. She currently owns and operates DOGMASF.
We were thrilled when Dianne brought her expertise to ACE in 2011. When asked what she enjoys most about teaching at Ace, she answered, “the opportunity to work alongside such talented trainers.” Her specialty is motivating people to get excited about training and showing each handler how to view their dogs as their teammate.
In addition to agility, Dianne can be found competing at the top of a variety of dog sports including rally, obedience, nose work, barn-hunt, herding, dock diving, sprint racing, lure coursing, and disc. Teaching elaborate dog tricks has been a long-time passion of hers.
When it comes to Dianne’s dogs we can say that the “proof is in the pudding”. Together their talents have resulted in a wide range of accomplishments on the local, regional and national levels. Dianne’s pride for her dogs is always apparent whenever she is speaking of her amazing dog family: Woody (Bearded Collie mix) True (Bearded Collie), Roy (Bearded Collie), Zero (Australian Cattle Dog), Super Sic (Bearded Collie/Border Collie). True, Zero and Woody were all rescued. Roy even has his own award winning book, Roy & Hydrants, featuring Dianne’s amazing photography. Super Sic is Dianne’s newest star and is rocking the agility world with his incredible speed and outstanding skills.
Woody is sadly gone and missed every day.
